August ICLW

Welcome new and returning ICLW visitors. This month’s Where I’m At summary is Fertility: What happens, happens. No ART. Brain: Switching Anti-Ds and riding that rollercoaster. Life: Doing more crafty stuff lately and am on Week 2 of Blue belt in taekwondo. It has been 1 year since I started taekwondo.

What 1 year of taekwondo looks like

Current goals:

  • Finish reading Anna Karenina (about 200 pages left)
  • Crafty exploration (ongoing)
  • Earn brown belt (about 2 months away)
  • Finish converting office into yoga/taekwondo space (ongoing)
  • Restart regular yoga practice (hopefully soon, currently intermittent)
  • Earn black belt (about a year away)
  • Have kid (who knows)

  1. Hi, visiting from ICLW. I looked through some recent posts and feel like I can relate to you on many things. I’m crafty, too, though not as advanced as you, and I’m also a “Crazy Aunt.” Congrats on your Blue Belt! I look forward to reading more of your blog, Kristina

    • I didn’t know there was going to be a movie! Wow, I’m going to have to Google this. Thanks for the heads up! Have you read the book? I enjoy it, but I have been trying to read it for a long time because I feel like it is just really wordy and detailed.

    • Thanks. I decided to take a free 3-week trial last year to see if I would like it and I stuck with it. It gives me something to focus on besides IF. And kicking the crap out of heavy bags is a for-sure plus.

  2. Here from ICLW. Congratulations on the blue belt! Quite an accomplishment. All of your goals inspire me to find ways to live life not focusing on IF. After all, we’re more than that. Looking forward to future posts!

    • I really like the way you put that ,”we’re more than that.” That is so true and important to think about. If I wasn’t doing some volunteering and taekwondo, I think I would have just dropped into the abyss by now. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    • Ha, I was just like that for a long time. I’ve tried to read it several times. I finally got going by signing up for it on DailyLit.com. All you have to do is pick a book, many are free including the classics, and enter your email address and it will send you a five-minute-or-less installment in your email. That is how I finally got into it enough to pick the physical book back up.

  3. Hello from ICLW! Nice work on the TKD- a helluvan accomplishment! Do you have a tutorial on your cat toys in the post below? They’re super cute and I’m sure my kitties would go bonkers for them 🙂
